Stewardship Update - June 2020
Let us begin by thanking God for all of the graces and blessings available to us during this pandemic. We especially thank those of you who have been generous with your prayers, time money, by reaching out to serve others and keeping up with your Sunday offertory gift. We truly can’t get through this without you.
LIVE-STREAM MASS: We are fortunate to have talented people on staff and in our music ministry which have been working with the priests to offer the Mass via Live-stream each Sunday. This live-stream will continue throughout the summer.
We have increased communication via social media so as to keep all of us connected as a community. Facebook offerings of “A Bit of Gospel Joy” daily reflections, “Go Ask Your Father” live, as well as events such as our “May Crowning”, and e-mail blasts.
We have also reached out via phone calls to parishioners over 65 to check in as well as health care workers in the parish to thank them. Through the calls, we identified some needs such as help getting groceries or prescriptions and many parishioners offered to help in that regard. Thank you to generous parishioners who have donated to this effort.
We wish to highlight what has been going on with the Parish and School. The parish, school, and religious education staff are working remotely, communicating by ZOOM meeting at least once a week. The office staff is responding to phone and e-mails remotely. Our parish maintenance staff is rotating hours.
In order to save costs and keep people safe, our contracted janitorial service has been scaled back to one employ.
Going forward as we begin to meet for Mass again please:
- Continue to pray for those who are sick, government leaders, healthcare workers, first responders, families, and especially our parish family.
- Continue to support those who are in need around you.
- Continue your offertory contributions.
Thank you so much for begin such a gift to our parish.
