Holy Orders & Vocations
“Christ is knocking very hard at many hearts, looking for young people like you to send into the vineyard where an abundant harvest is ready.” – St. John Paul
A vocation is a call from God to holiness. We all have a vocation to spread the Gospel by virtue of our baptism. God also calls some to a particular state of life in order to build up the Church. Many of us are called to marriage and family life (link to our page) but some are called to be a priest or religious sister, brother, or consecrated virgin. Do you think God is calling you to priesthood or religious life? You can contact the Parish Office at 248-474-5720 for more information.

Ordination to the priesthood is always a call and a gift from God. Christ reminded his Apostles that they needed to ask the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into the harvest. Those who seek priesthood respond generously to God's call using the words of the prophet, "Here I am, send me" (Is 6:8). This call from God can be recognized and understood from the daily signs that disclose his will to those in charge of discerning the vocation of the candidate. (USCCB)
