Confirmation

Confirmation
In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ.

Confirmation is the beginning of one’s journey as an adult into the Catholic faith. The responsibility for following the precepts of the Church, continuing to learn, and pursuing a relationship with God now shifts to the candidates as they decide for themselves that this is the faith they want to learn, love, and live out each day of their lives. Our young candidates must deepen their personal encounter with Christ through a life of prayer (centered on the Eucharist), a life committed to the moral values of the Gospel, a love for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and a life of service especially to the poor and needy.
