OLS Moms Group General Information (updated 2-1-26)

 

Hello!  Come join us at a Moms Group Meeting and see what we are all about. We meet on Thursday evenings once a month in the Family Center and also have other activities planned for 2025-2026.  Our meetings have a “theme,” which includes a speaker or activity. The schedule of meeting dates is shown below. 

 

Some meeting topics/activities include:  A Fall Walk on campus, Christmas Cookie exchange, Speakers on family preparation for  Advent & Lent,  A Psychologist speaking on child/family matters, Prayer topics,  Advent Reflection & dinner, Moms Mentor Panel, Recipe Swap and Taste meeting, Moms Dinner Out,  monthly planned Playgroup activities and outings (see sep. list of playgroup dates below).

 

Come meet some great moms who have kids ranging from infants up to college age/adult, and even a couple of grandmothers!

Join us for the next Moms Group Meeting on Thursday, April 16, from 7:00-8:30 pm in Family Center Room 3. Our speaker will be Maria Sinistaj, Spiritual Director, who has spoken to us before on Meditative Prayer and recently wrote a book titled, “Encountering Jesus: Your 18 inch Journey to Healing.” Maria will lead us through a short guided meditation on a bible passage. Then we will discuss our prayer experience and the steps on how to do the meditations. You do not need to have the book to attend, but you can purchase it on Amazon.
